Our Pastor

The Reverend Stephen J. Oharek is the pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Personal History
Pastor Oharek was born and raised in the Orlando, Florida metropolitan area. He grew up outside the church as a non-Christian. He came to saving faith in Christ at the age of 15. Ever since his conversion, he has had a passion to personally grow and to help others grow in the knowledge of and obedience to Christ as Lord and Savior.

Formal Training for Ministry
1997 – Bachelor of Arts from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia (Major in Biblical Studies & Missions; Minor in Philosophy)

1999 – Master of Arts (Biblical Studies) from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida

1999/2000 – Yearlong Pastoral Internship at Emmanuel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Kent, Washington (Pastors Randy Bergquist and Andy Elam)

2001 – Ordained to Gospel Ministry by the Presbytery of the Midwest of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and installed as the pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Cedar Falls, Iowa
